SHIRT DEVELOPMENT- PHOTOSHOP EXPERIMENTATION

I decided that round about now would be a good time to start thinking about what colour I wanted the zip to be for my shirt. I wanted to figure out which colour would fit best with the pink colour way of my Gucci fabric. I figured the most effective way to do this would be to use photoshop and so I scanned in my most up to date sketch of the shirt and drew around this with the brush tool, I then went online and found a Gucci monogram pattern and used the dropper tool to pick the exact colours from the picture of the Gucci fabric I had ordered (I didn't use this image because the quality was awful). I then filled in the Gucci monogram with the colours and placed the outline of the shirt over the top. This gave me a good idea of the colours I would be working with and how they would sit along the shirt. I knew I wanted my zip to be quite chunky as I prefer these kind of zips, especially when they are a crucial part of the design of the shirt. I looked at some different colours and as I was doing this I realised that I also wanted to change the colour of my shirts collar. I felt the design didn't look as strong with the Gucci monogram placed all over, but rather just on the body of the shirt.

My favourite design by far is the white collar with the white zip. I think the white makes the pink stand out even more, making the monogram more prominent.
